The Power of Gratitude

When I ask Spirit about abundance, I always get the same answer. Be grateful.
What is the connection between having more and being grateful?

Being grateful is about centering in the present moment. When I feel thankful for what is already here, all the good starts to expand.

So often when we are upset, we are focusing in the wrong place. Are we upset about something that happened in the past or worried about something in the future?

Neither of those places is where we create from. We create from the NOW. So in order to manifest more abundance, love, happiness, etc., we need to first get ourselves back into the now.

Let's all take a moment to look around. Wherever you are, ask yourself, "What do I see right now that I feel grateful for?" As for me,  I am looking outside at the trees and the fountain. It is a sunny day in December. Just looking at the trees, I feel more peaceful.

Ah, now that is a higher emotional vibration--peace.

Remember that whatever you want more of cannot come to you unless you already feel it inside. Love attracts to love. Wealth attracts to wealth. Kindness attracts kindness, and so on. Therefore, being grateful attracts MORE of whatever you are thankful for!  I love it!

Over time, I have found that g
ratitude, like many things, comes easier with practice. I have a Gratitude Journal which I write in every day. It is a positive way to center my energy before I leave the house.

What are you grateful for right now? Can you count 10 things? 50? 100? Try it with me.
Do you feel better? I hope so.

Wishing you peace, love and abundance,  MMM

The Healing Power of Crystals--Artist Spotlight Willowette

I have been using crystals for many years as a way to attract more abundance and create optimal health. Each crystal is associated with a different chakra in the body and a specific healing quality.  Here are some of the crystals I use:

Amber: I call this the YES stone! It is connected to the 3rd Chakra of Personal Power and the 2nd Chakra of Sexuality and Charisma because of its golden yellow/orange color. When you need to embrace and express your own power wear amber. Amber is made from the sap of trees. It has the healing property of absorbing negativity and releasing it from your body.

Larimar: This stone, primarily from the Dominican Republic, gets part of its name "mar" from the ocean where it is created. A light blue stone, used by healers and spiritualists, it balances and heals the Throat Chakra. Wear this stone to speak with love and express your voice without fear.

Amethyst: This stone is purple in color and associated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras. It brings out your deep intuitive powers and helps you connect to universal spirit to see the truth.

Animal Messengers

This week I read the 10th Insight by James Redfield. It is the sequel to the famous Celestine Prophecy. I got a lot out of both books and recommend them highly to you. One of the most interesting insights from the book is a Native American belief about the power of animals in our lives. They believe that animals come into our lives for a reason. Each animal has a specific meaning, purpose, and message.
For example, CATS heighten our intuition and activate self-healing. DOGS teach us about loyalty and unconditional love. OWLS are wise souls guiding us to strengthen our awareness and pay attention to our surroundings. HORSES give us strength, power and integrity. SNAKES represent our life force/potential. BUTTERFLIES denote transformation or change.

For many years, I have kept a dream journal. Animals are very symbolic in our dreams. When you analyze your dreams, look first at how the animal is interacting with you. How many animals are present? How do you feel vis-a-vis the animal? What does that animal represent in ancient folklore/dream books? Our dreams give us answers, they also indicate our emotional states. In some instances, they may even forsee a future event.
In your everyday life, pay attention to animals. Which animals are appearing around you "synchronistically"? Where are they guiding you? How are you interacting with them?
Animals appear for a reason. And they have much to say if we listen.

Recently, I created a new body of artwork with animals as the central theme. Here is one of my favorite images:

Choose Powerfully

Tumblr
Tumblr (clipped to polyvore.com)

They say we do not regret the things we did, but instead, the things we did not do. Looking back, I agree. There really is no such thing as failure, it is just a lesson learned. So if we do not try, we never learn. If we never learn, we never grow.

This week I made a big decision to move forward fearlessly toward a dream that I have had all of my life. It is scary to to take a leap of faith. But I know, from so many times in the past, that it always leads to something better.

When we send a clear message to the universe that we are committed to our goals, the energy changes. It changes within us and around us.

I know that I am fully supported emotionally and financially in all ways at all times.

This is the truth I stand on. Anything else is just a myth of the monkey mind.

Is there anything you wish to do, see, have? Ask yourself if there are any myths holding you back. Are you waiting for someone else to decide?

The universe is waiting for YOU to decide. So choose. Choose powerfully.

I pray for your courage and strength. All is one. So my courage is yours and yours is mine.

And so it is.

Heart Talk

The book that I read over and over again is called The Success Principles by Jack Canfield.  It has taught me so much. One of the principles I use from this book is the Heart Talk.

Recently, I started using the "Heart Talk" in my communications with my partner. A Heart Talk is very easy to implement and makes a world of difference in how we listen to each other.

Rules:
1. Find a small object, such as a coin, to use as the "token".
2. Only the person holding the token is allowed to speak--no interrupting.
3. He/She gets to speak for as long as he/she chooses about whatever he/she wants to express.
4. Once he/she finishes, he/she passes the token to the next speaker.
5. It goes around in a circle until each speaker feels completely heard.
6. While each person is speaking, the listeners do not engage in any other activity besides listening.

What does this technique give you?
--More intimacy
--More partnership
--Better listening skills
--Deeper understanding of the other person

Here is a video of Jack teaching about the Heart Talk. Try it out and see for yourself.
Let me know what happens.   Love and light, MM.

The Feng Shui of Relationships

In Chinese philosophy there is balance in everything in the cosmos. There is a YIN and a YANG. There is the masculine and the feminine.

For much of my life I was encouraged to be "masculine". Go, be, win, chase, etc. It worked well in certain areas of my life, but not in my relationships.

What I have learned in many years of dating and study is that men do not like to be
"Out-Alphaed". What does that mean? It means that if you choose a "masculine man" as your mate, the only energy that will work with him is the feminine or YIN energy. If you are acting out of your masculine side or YANG, you will turn him off. Thus, he will move away from you or become inert (non-active).

How can you practice being more YIN or Feminine?

1. Wait for a man to call you. If you start off chasing him, you will be forever in this cycle.
2. If he offers a gift, such as dinner, receive it graciously by accepting it and thanking him.
This does not mean you owe him anything more than your beautiful company.
3. When he speaks, listen. If men are interrupted they feel disrespected.
4. Cultivate the power of attraction.  Getting is a masculine concept. Attracting is feminine.
5. Practice stillness. The only way to be patient in the in-between time is to be ok with solitude.

And finally,

6. Remember that YIN energy is just as powerful as YANG.

In nature, there is night and day. Every plant would die if there were only sun shining on it all the time. So think of your relationship like a precious flower, give it light and dark for it to flourish and blossom.

I look forward to receiving your questions, comments, and feedback.
If this was helpful for you, please share it with your friends.
Have a wonderful week. Namaste. MM

30 Days of Receptivity

I believe that the universe is an abundant and generous place. In my experience, the real question is not "if something will happen", but "am I ready to receive it?"

So I practice being an open vessel of gratitude every day. The wider the receptacle, the bigger the flow of divine energy through me.

Some of the things that manifested during my 30 days of Receptivity Practice:

Free vacation at the spa Rancho La Puerta http://www.rancholapuerta.com/ for two, flowers, cash, new clients, an art show, new friends, lots of appreciation, three massages, great health, invitations, love, joy and much more. Thank you to all the wonderful providers (especially Hazel, Keith, Delon, Carol, Dad, and Mark) and thank you to this beautiful abundant universe.

Now you may say, well that is just "luck". That would never happen to me.

The truth is that it can and does happen for everyone all of the time.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:?
  • How good am I at receiving? Do I thank people and let the gifts in?
  • Do I think I deserve to be treated well?
  • How much do I think is possible to manifest?
  • How grateful do I feel every day for the love, abundance, and gifts I have already received?
I visualize the sunflowers opening their faces to the sun. Receiving light. Receiving love. Receiving nourishment.

There is no struggle. No person or thing on this planet is more or less deserving. The animals receive, the plants receive, and yet, paradoxically, it is only mankind that resists receiving.

I will keep believing and continue manifesting. Please consider that it is possible and do-able for you too.

To give is a gift. To receive is a gift.

Think of a world where everyone gives and receives freely...

I invite you to try your own 30 Days of Receptivity.

With love, MM

Radical Forgiveness

Today, I have been reading this book Radical Forgiveness by Colin Tipping. I heard about it last year, but synchronistically I found it at the library yesterday--perfect timing!!

When I opened the book, I was thinking "Who do I need to forgive?" I am not angry.

But I looked deeper and asked myself, "Is there anyone I am judging or avoiding?" And the answer was YES.

So I did the 21 step worksheet.

And I can verify that it is a POWERFUL experience.

Here is a free copy http://www.radicalforgiveness.com/intro.asp

At the end of the exercise, I felt great emotion--tears of love and tears of forgiveness. I could feel in my body that even if I didn't know it, there was still pain, anger, fear from the past that I released from my cells. Through this work, I feel more self-love and am even more aware of the patterns that are swirling around me every day asking me to SEE. Gratefully, I am also able to send and feel more love to those whom I had been judging as wrong. I see them as my teachers. They show me where I judge, where I avoid, and where I withhold love.

I am thankful for Colin Tipping, this book, and the universe for providing me with more guidance and more opportunities to deepen my love for self and others.

Here are the links to Colin's books. I encourage everyone to consider this thought:

If we are withholding love from anyone, it is only blocking the flow back to ourselves. MM

Try it on. See if it fits.

Have a blessed day! MM

Living in the Flow of the Divine

I live from flow.

I trust that all will be provided.
Led in the dance,
Led in the flow.
I float in the river, enjoying the ride.
The feminine energy knows that all is unfolding completely, supported by all.
The moment has found me.
I listen to the air, I listen to spirit, I listen to the planet.
I am found. I am completely supported.
I ask for support.
I lean in—I lean in and say YES!
All says “Yes” in reply.
When I allow, the universe leans in to direct my flow.
Without resistance, I move effortlessly.
I breathe in and exhale--always connected.
I am led.
In the silence, I open, ask, receive.
And so it is.

The Golden Empress

The Golden Empress

The Golden Empress by Miraclecatcher  Copyright 2011 Miraclecatcher Enterprises

The Empress is the feminine force made manifest in human form. She is charismatic, fertile, powerful, regal, beautiful, wise, warm, expressive, and creative. She leads by example and shines a bright light to free us from any darkness. This Golden Goddess asks us to recognize and embrace our own self-worth.

Questions to ask yourself:

1. Are you making quality time for yourself and the things you love to do?
2. Are you being paid what you are worth?
3. Are you surrounding yourself with people who value and appreciate you?
4. Do you treat yourself well, e.g., speak to yourself in a loving voice?
5. Are you expressing your true wants and needs to others?

Ways To Create Great Communication

I really enjoyed this article about communication. I use some of these phrases, but could always use them more.  Practicing every day. It all seems to be about connecting on a more intimate level, getting to know who people really are and what they are up to. Let me know what you think.

Manifesting Your Dream Life

Frequently I hear people say what they want, and then they give me reasons why it is not possible. So I would like to share with you how I manifest things in my life:

  1. Everything is possible. Start from that premise.
  2. Make a wish list. Be specific: where, when, what, how much, location, it’s all in the details.
  3. Ask, Ask, Ask. The worst thing that someone might say is  no. So ask someone else.
  4. Make a collage with pictures of your wish list on a vision board where you see it every day.
  5. Become better at receiving. Even small things, say YES and thank you. Let it in.
  6. Study the masters. Look at people who have what you want and learn from them.
  7. Don’t give up too soon. Some things manifest very quickly, and others take time.
  8. Believe that you actually have power over your own life. Victimhood keeps you stuck.
  9. Trust that somewhere there is a force supporting you behind the scenes.
  10. Let it go. Be happy. The fastest way to manifest is not to worry about the outcome.

Artist Spotlight--Ann Bilott

I had the pleasure of meeting Ann recently and hearing some of her beautiful poems. Together we laughed, connected, and shared our experience of love and loss. Through writing, Ann was able to work through the grief of losing of her husband and mother, and restore her sense of hope. Here below is one of her love poems. It gives me great joy to showcase her work which illustrates so clearly how creativity heals us and rejuvenates us. Thank you Ann for your wisdom, light and courage.

Love Poem

You just seeped into me

Unexpectedly

And all I want is more.

I want you with a love

So wild and strong and inviting

That I can barely breathe.

You bring back the live wire sizzle

To my blood

And shoot sparks through me.

You make my world stop.

When I look into your eyes the whole

World around me goes quiet,

I’m at peace in your presence, yet

You send jolts of excitement

Through my system.

About the Artist:

Ann is a retired teacher and widow. She recently published a book of her poems called Love, Grief, Hope: One Woman's Journey Through Life. She says "writing  poetry is like breathing to me, it has become a way for me to put my experiences and feelings in perspective, to discover myself, to create a new me!" Questions For Humanity

Today, I am listening to Neale Donald Walsch and he asks these fascinating questions:

1. Who Am I?

2. Why Am I Here on the Planet?

3. Why Am I Where I Am Now?

I invite all of us to all answer these questions for ourselves. It leads to an interesting conversation.

I will share my answers:

1. I am a being of light. I am energy. More than any label, I am connected to all beings around me.
2. I am here to contribute to the evolution of humanity. I am here to evolve my soul. I am here to learn/teach.
3. I am in the process of transformation. Every day, I release the burdens of a small mind--the worry, the disconnection, the lack. As I release, I rise higher. I am lighter, freer, more peaceful and connected. I honor the process; as I learn, I share with others.

What are your answers? I would love to hear them. Please share below.

To listen to Neale Donald Walsch and other healers, go to http://www.healingwiththemasters.com or  Amazon.com

I love this quote by NDW "out of your mind, and into your soul." He asks us to get into our bodies and listen.

What colors attract you in your life right now? What do you want more of in your life?

You can use colors to heal and/or stimulate a specific chakra. For example, if you have a sore throat, here are some questions to ask yourself:

-Do I have any anger that I have not expressed?
-Am I going through a change or transition?
-Do I feel safe to say what I want to say?

This week my affirmations to cure a sore throat are:

-It is safe to express myself.
-I am changing. All is well.
