The Power of Acupuncture

Starting this month, I will begin a series of posts about wellness. So keep checking in!
I would like to share with you the knowledge that I have gathered over the years about how to reach a state of optimal health. I hope it has a positive impact on your lives.

First, let's talk about one of my favorites: Acupuncture.

Acupuncture, in a nutshell, is about using your body's own powerful healing tools. The small needles, which do not hurt, are inserted in specific points along your meridians, which are channels that run from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. The points, where the needles are inserted, act like little flags giving directions to your brain. They say, "Send healing energy here!"

Ancient Chinese medicine, upon which Acupuncture is based, is all about balancing the CHI in your body. CHI means energy. I like to think of CHI as the energy that is all around us, within us, and flowing through us. When the CHI is moving smoothly, our bodies and health are in harmony. When the CHI becomes blocked or stagnant, it can and will create dis-ease. Moreover, in simple terms,
if there is a block in your body, there is a block in your life.

Acupuncture has been scientifically proven to help or cure:

  • Pain Relief and Management
  • Migraine/Tension Headaches
  • Hormonal Imbalance or Issues
  • Menopause Symptoms Relief
  • Immune System Disorders
  • Digestive System Issues
  • Thyroid & Adrenal Disorders
  • Cancer Treatment Support

My personal experience with acupuncture has been quite profound, and hopefully inspiring to others. I started doing acupuncture in 2009 when I wanted to get pregnant. At the time, I was single and planning to do artificial insemination. When the acupuncturist asked me what benefits I would like to achieve in through acupuncture, I said, "pregnancy and a relationship."

True to form, one month after I started doing acupuncture, I met someone and fell in love.
I decided to wait to get pregnant, so I stopped my acupuncture treatments in 2009.

This year, 2012, I committed to moving forward fearlessly towards pregnancy, so I began my acupuncture treatments in January. And once again, the FLOW in my life has opened up in a big way.

I believe with certainty that making a commitment 100% to our health, body, and life, has a radical effect on the results we achieve. When we are willing to invest in our wellness and commit to it, we say to the universe, "YES, I am ready!"

I hope that my journey will inspire you to commit to your dreams and health 100%.

I would also like to thank and recommend two of my favorite acupuncturists:

Marc Sklar (San Diego, CA) : http://www.awcsandiego.com/
Carrie Cimperman (Temecula, CA) : http://www.temeculaacupuncture.com/

Try it out, see for yourself. You can even do it without needles!!

How would your life look different if the FLOW were open and abundant?

Stay tuned for more....and please feel free to share this. :-)

Wishing you always love, health, success, and JOY!
